TITLE: The dance of Egrets
Manglajodi in Odhisa is a Ramsar site and each year during the winter, thousands of water birds flock around the swamp to feed on the snakes, frogs and fish that breed in this swamp. I witnessed the fight between two egrets in the Manglajodi wetlands this winter during a birding trip. The pose of the egrets as they confronted and the gleaming water from their feet made it look like it was rather a choreographed dance move.
