TITLE: Sweet Casper
Glenant Island, Brittany, France.
On these beautiful groups of islands, off the shore, are leaving some families of grey seals. We jumped into the water to approach them. The visibility was quite good for this area, around 15 meters, the bottom was covered by some amazing kelp, sometimes green, sometimes almost orange. After 5 minutes, we saw from far away a first young seal, swimming around us but keeping distance. We arrived into a deeper part and started to freedive. From that moment began a nice game of hide-and-seek, and the seal began to go closer from us. Little by little, other seals joined the game, female and young seals and at the end, they were always coming closer, playing with the fins, or following us when freediving. The picture is a portrait of the younger of them, he is still very white, and will get greyer later while growing. He was hiding and playing into his natural environment, the kelp.
