TITLE: Sackville Reach Aboriginal Reserve, Cumberland Reach, 2022
Sackville Reach Aboriginal Reserve is located on the Hawkesbury River and was established in 1889 by the Australian Aboriginal Protection Board. It was a place of oppression for first nation peoples and was disestablished in 1946. Hundreds of reserves or missions were created shortly after colonisation and continued for over a century. This image was photographed using a lensless camera on large format film.

Glenn has studied a mix of art, science and photography. He holds several qualifications, including an Associate Diploma in Art (Photography) from the Sydney Institute of Technology, a Graduate Diploma in Science from Sydney University, a Master of Applied Science (Photography) from RMIT University and a PhD in Communication Arts from Western Sydney University. The Royal Photographic Society has also recognised Glenn with an imaging science distinction as an Accredited Senior Imaging Scientist (ASIS) and a Fellow (FRPS) of the society. He is currently studying for a Master of Art Photography at Falmouth University. Glenn has exhibited his work in several group exhibitions and had his first solo show at the New England Regional Art Museum in 2022. Glenn’s work has been recognised in several prestigious awards as a finalist, including the Head-On Portrait Prize, the Olive Cotton Award for Photographic Portraiture and the Mullins Conceptual Photography Prize.
