TITLE: Shibui
My work as a language teacher consists in trying to encourage and develop my students’ passion for languages. In my free time, I turn my focus to the study of forms and lines in nature.
During these past few years, I have developed my visual ability and have found my own photographic style while working with the different visual elements: form, color, movement and lines. I strive to create images which have an unreal and dreamlike atmosphere. An interesting and inviting composition makes a good image. I converted this image to black and white to emphasize the texture. The absence of color allows concentrating on lines and forms without any distracting elements.
Intuition plays a large role in my photography. The location itself creates a certain mood.

During these past few years, I have developed my visual ability and have found my own photographic style while working with the different visual elements: form, color, movement and lines. I strive to create images which have an unreal and dreamlike atmosphere. An interesting and inviting composition makes a good image. I attempt to make the landscape photos as three dimensional as possible by including elements in the foreground, middle ground and background. I always try to find sight lines that could guide the viewer into the picture.
Intuition plays a large role in my photography. The location itself creates a certain mood.
