TITLE: Cristal Eyes
One of the best taxidermies in the world is based in Granada. Specifically in the Parque de las Ciencias, where in the exhibition: we can observe works made. Visitors can learn about the process of creating taxidermies live. The author of the scenes on display performs part of his work before the public's eyes. Visitors can interact and ask the author all the questions they are interested in this area. The technique is based on a metallic structure inside each animal, in which the force, resistance, counterweights and displacements are calculated. Archaeological studies place the origins of taxidermy in Chile at 7,800 years ago. The drawback in naturalization is the posture of the animal, with the prefabricated molds you can choose between several positions and sizes of the animal. Currently 100% of taxidermists use molds to make their creations. These prefabricated molds, made of polyurethane, make taxidermy much faster. The naturalized animal must be an exact reproduction of the living animal. The very laborious process begins with the tanning of the skin, the creation of the mold imitating the morphology of the animal and the final touches to achieve maximum fidelity to the workmanship of the piece using putty and other products to assemble everything. Currently, taxidermy has reached a paradox in the field of conservationism.
