TITLE: Origin

This work embodies the ritualistic search of humans reconnecting to nature. The gathering on the long dead remainings of a tree with bare feet to feel the power of nature, the longing and desire to incorporate this energy in our lifes and the joy of newly finding a long lost connection. It is a dialogue, it is a tender search and it is a rewarding journey.

The scars and wrinkles in the surface of the tree are reflected in the bare feet touching it. The rise of a body from the ground symbolizes the strength and resilience of nature. The natural garments covering parts of the bodies show stains from touching the ground, symbolizing that nature leaves marks on us.

This work should leave the viewer humble and thinking about our elementary connection to nature and us humans being woven into it.
