TITLE: High Desert Statuary
The remains of ancient juniper trees are a major element of the high-desert southwest landscape. But we tend not to notice them. After all, they're only dead trees. These photographs take notice: of their strange gestures, their enduring grace, their moving stillness. They are their own most perfect monuments.
