TITLE: Botanic Beings
In autumn, the blooming and colorful fields and meadows of summer turn into barren gray landscapes with withered grasses and other plants. Only a few close-up photographers go there in search of motifs during this time. I did and was surprised and fascinated at the same time by the interesting variety of appearances I found. Over many weeks I collected withered plants, cleaned them carefully and photographed them. The motifs impressed me simply by their plainness, the interesting and contrasting structures, so that each plant in its own way embodies a personality like a "being".
