TITLE: Contrast

This series of images was taken in Iceland while hiking from Rjúpnavellir to Skógar. The hike connects three waymarked trails: the Hellismannaleid, the Laugavegur and the Skógar trail, and takes in some of the most beautiful scenery in Iceland. The focus in this series is on the stark contrasts in the landscape such as the black volcanic ash versus the pristine white snow, as well as on small human elements within the vast surrounding landscape.
