TITLE: Zensation

I was lucky to be able to travel to Hokkaido, Japan in January 2023. It is a stunning minimalist landscape with deep snow and the occasional tree in a vast rural landscape. On occasion it was -20 C but what I loved about my trip was the way that the snow and the sky often merged into a seamless backdrop to the wonderful, sculptured, trees. These seven photographs seek to convey the otherworldly beauty of this very special part of Japan.
