TITLE: RETINA
Retina is a self-portrait project, an autobiographical story that describes my very personal story as a visually impaired person. Specifically, I addressed the problem of visual impairment caused by continuous retinal detachments in both eyes. In fact, I was blind several times and then I started to see again, but it all started when I was still a child and it still continues, from then until today it has been a very long and very hard journey, made up of numerous stages, some terrible, others happier like this one, where I was recently able to approach photography. Thus I collected all the emotions and sensations that I experienced and I transferred them into images, giving life to a very strong and emotional story, full of great suffering and resilience. Overcoming one's limits and never giving up are just some of the food for thought that Retina can offer, which in its own way becomes a useful attitude in the face of all the difficulties that life can present us.
