TITLE: The only man
Ocean. Diamond beach, black sand, shimmering particles in the sun.
Peace, emptiness. One man facing the ocean. He climbs a heap of black stones arranged like a stingray's tail sunk in the ocean. A man stops at the abyss, trusting that the ocean will capriciously, will not take him away. The ocean in a good, calm mood, only gently breaks the waves against the stones. A man returns against a backdrop of sharp black rocks jutting out of the water in the distance. He looks like the only man on earth, as if the world has stopped, turning everything and everyone to stone, only him and the ocean left.
AUTHOR: Dominika Żurawska (Poland)
I am a 5th year student of the National Academy of Theater Arts in Kraków, Dance Theater Department in Bytom. My artistic sensitivity developed from childhood, learning about classical dance, through classical music, I graduated from music school on the violin. I started to be interested in photography during my studies, I am also a model. I have a lot of hobbies, but when taking pictures, I feel most like myself, the observer. For most of my education, I stood on stage and people watched me, thanks to phography I can look at others. I love to observe, to look at the beauty of people and places, to look for non-obvious beauty in ugliness for others. See people's eyes and read their stories, see their sensitivity, nakedness and be grateful for the honesty they give me.
