TITLE: Tainan
Old Nanyuan street in Tainan City.
AUTHOR: WEN-HUNG LIN (Taiwan)
I was born in 1985 in Tainan, Taiwan, and hold a Master's degree from the Graduate Institute of Radio and Television at National Chengchi University. I work in an office during the week, and on weekends I pursue photography as my creative practice.
My photographic work is largely shaped by the perspective of a traveler on foot, interpreting the alleyways of Taiwan and cities around the world, as well as natural landscapes — the sea, waves, mountains, and rocks — through visual languages drawn from Impressionism, Fauvism, ink wash painting, and oil painting. Through this approach, I invite viewers into another, often multilayered, imaginative world hidden within everyday scenery.
