TITLE: Do I Dare Disturb the Universe?
From the moment I first read "The Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock" by TS Eliot, I immediately felt a connection to the text. Throughout my life, I have held this poem in some of my darkest moments, using it as a form of solace. Thus, I wanted to articulate the emotions that the poem arose in me using photography, capturing feelings of desolation and depression and then using effects completely shot on film. For this image -- encapsulating the feelings "do I dare disturb the universe?" -- I used light drawing on negatives to create the effects of abundance, and the universe, without using digital manipulation such as Photoshop.
