TITLE: The Black Place
I was on a trip to the Highlands of Iceland in September last year. It is a truly extraordinary place. In fact it is otherworldly with a landscape that is, at turns, green and verdant with waterfalls and then black and forbidding. This is a photograph from one of the more bleak and black locations but to my mind just as beautiful, taken in an expanse of volcanic ash with black sand dunes and a few tufts of grass clinging on for life.
AUTHOR: Robert Bolton (United Kingdom)
My name is Robert Bolton and I strive to be a fine art Photographer in my spare time, at least that is my mission! I am based in the UK but prior to the pandemic I travelled a lot with my day job and this allowed me to indulge my photography. I love seascapes, minimalism and the 'otherworldly'. We create our reality and I like mine tranquil, reflective and as simple as possible.
