TITLE: IronHead
An image I made in the countryside in Veneto, Italy, at the beginning of summer, when some crops are sown. To keep away the birds, which eat the seeds, the "scarecrow" is used. But this was a really nice meeting for me.She immediately fascinated me with her iron head, almost a helmet, to protect herself.
The story goes that the creation of the scarecrow is not so recent, so much so that as early as the first century BC. the poet Tibullus mentions in one of his poems of him the use of a statue of Priapus "placed in custody of the vegetable garden rich in fruit so that with a terrible scythe he drives away the birds"
AUTHOR: Paolo Paccagnella (Italy)
I am an Italian, non-professional and old-school photographer.
I love to photograph in black and white and think in black and white.
I prefer a simple photograph where subjects and empty spaces can divide the weights, letting concepts or sensations, emotions and thoughts shine through.
I don't take photos that everyone should like, on the contrary, I am looking for personal satisfaction with my works, trying to go beyond my innumerable limits.
Sono un fotografo italiano ,non professionista e di vecchia scuola.
Amo fotografare in bianco e nero e pensare in bianco e nero.
Prediligo una fotografia semplice dove soggetti e spazi vuoti possano dividersi i pesi, lasciando trasparire concetti o sensazioni, emozioni e pensieri.
Non faccio foto che devono piacere a tutti, anzi, ricerco la personale soddisfazione sui miei lavori, cercando di superare sempre di più i miei innumerevoli limiti.
