TITLE: D.C.’s Reflection Pool
The U.S. Capitol Washington D.C. Reflection Pool Black and White, By: Captain A
From a kids view:
My object, the U.S. Capitol Washington D.C., is reflected in the Capitol’s Pool. The pool represents how our leaders and we as a country need to reflect on ourselves before judging each other and then maybe we can become a nation united not divided. The photo also captured a cloudy day and raindrops falling on the pool, representing the cloudy judgement of our leaders and the tears of our broken nation.

Hello, I am Captain A, an 11yr old photographer, who uses photography to spread awareness and help save Mother Earth along with all her wonderful creatures.
In 2020, my brother and I co-founded Captain A TV, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to endangered species awareness and saving the planet through educational videos and programs! For the past 5yrs, we have participated in speaking at events to help bring awareness to the effects caused by climate change and environmental challenges animals face. Due to COVID, for the past 2yrs we have hosted an annual Zoom Earth Day event, with our growing team of Kid Ambassador Correspondents. We have our own YouTube Channel called “Captain A TV”, where we post awareness videos (some with stars from National Geographic’s Secret of The Zoo: ZooTampa)!
I have been part of Florida Virtual School Photography Club for 3yrs and had the privilege of being selected as Gold Photographer of the year for 3yrs in a row. This year I was also awarded FLVS’s 2022 Photographer of the Year!
In 2021 I had two of my photo pieces from my FLVS Photography Club projects selected to be on display Orlando Science Center's “Earth’s Voice: an Environmental Art Exhibit” (photos from my “Is Earth on the Right Track” series). I happened to be the only kid artist and photography artist in the exhibit. And, I am a 2021 Crikey! Magazine Photo top 5 Kid Photography Winner. My “Big or Small, They’re Important To Us All!” FLVS Macro Project photo is published in their recent Summer Edition, is on display with the other winners at the Australian Zoo and Australia’s Queensland Museum.
