TITLE: Past and present
Past and present.
I took the photo in my hometown of Gdańsk. In the foreground there is the Church of Saint Catherine, which is the oldest church in the Old Town. It was built in the years 1227–1239. Right behind the Old Town, we can see blocks of flats from the communist times. It's all against the background of oil refinery.
AUTHOR: Żaneta Gabriel (Poland)
I took my first steps in photography in 2007 Due to the fact that I live by the sea, I mainly dealt with the seascape. My life priorities caused a ten-year break in staking pictures. Lockdown made me return to photography in 2020 and I am catching up on a long hiatus. I make my dreams come true: I create underwater stories, transfer viewers to my world through toys, and show architecture seen with my eyes. My photos have been awarded in competitions: Chromatic Awards, Monochrome Photography Awards, TIFA, BIFA, ND Awards, PX3 Awards, FAPA, New York Photogrphy Awards, MonoVision Awards, Annual Photography Awards. In categories: landscape, seascape, cityscape, architecture, conceptual, fineart. My photos have been published: The PX3 Annual Book 2022, Photographize Monochrome Issue 02 November 2022.
