TITLE: "Afurada laundry room"
Afurada is a picturesque fishing village located next to the mouth of the Douro River, where time seems to stand still, in the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia (Portugal).
Low colored houses at the foot of a hill, fresh fish of the day and something that really caught my attention, the laundry room.
Inside a rectangular-shaped building you can see the bathtubs with which the women were washing clothes. Then they wrung them out and hung them on the clothesline to dry.
This is my little tribute to these people outside the hustle and bustle of the nearby city of Porto, humble and friendly people.
