TITLE: Elin-Heni, raw hands.
In this collaboration, we wanted to create something without make-up, as simple as possible.
Without any pretense or artifice.
Sharing vulnerabilities, pains, insecurities.
Be as true as possible.
Create pure and expressive images.
Establish a dialog between face and hands.
AUTHOR: Jocelyn Janon (New Zealand)
Photography is a means of meeting people and expressing my love for humans.
I have been a photographer for as long as I can remember, specializing in capturing creatives in dance, theatre, shows, etc.
I am particularly interested in the talented ones. The artists, the misfits, the “different” ones.
The round pegs in square holes.
Backstage and rehearsals are where I find my inspiration, as I witness the creative process unfold.
Alongside show collaterals and editorial imagery, I specialize in capturing portraits and enjoy collaborating with talented artists on personal projects to fuel my passion.
Embracing the beauty of humanity with a touch of drama is what sets my work apart.
I am based in Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland, Aotearoa/New Zealand, and I use he/him pronouns.
