TITLE: Underworld
This series was shot in the underwater cave system of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. The biggest underwater river system in the world with amazingly decorated tunnels and chambers that took millennia to form in the dry caves and got preserved when the tunnels flooded after the last glaciation 8000 years ago
An Underworld, as the Mayan call it, that offers amazing photo opportunity to the daring diver who need to navigate that underwater pitch-black maze filled with stalactites and stalagmites and illuminate these gorgeous chambers to discover their secrets while running out of gas and sometimes hours away from the closes exit to surface
An amazing world that exists below our feet and that remains mostly unknown
