TITLE: Mea-Morphosis
This series is inspired by an interest in Women's Expression. When women face the metamorphosis of their bodies, the perception of themselves changes. This work expresses an awareness of self-transformation, and the difficulty to reconcile with the reality of aging.
I used my IPhone as a hand mirror to reveal the details of the subject.
AUTHOR: Marie-Helene des Monstiers (France)
My name is Marie-Helene des Monstiers. I’m a photographer based in Paris-France, and I’ve been photographing for almost 15 years, specializing in street photograph. I’m a patient observer of people and my urban environment. My photography work is a direct reflection of the people, and places that inspire me. I enjoy capturing the unusual and funny instants of urban life, documenting sceneries, architecture, landscapes, finding beauty in ordinary subjects.
Curiosity is now taking me into more abstract compositions to write new storytellings.
My visual reading is spontaneous, instinctive, and based on emotions, whether generated by beauty, anguish, sadness, gentleness, mystery, or by a simple touch of humor.
