TITLE: Into The West
Into The West, is an ongoing series which focuses on the modern-day American cowboy and the lifestyle surrounding this tough day to day living. I have spent the last four years driving across the western states in various seasons to create a truly authentic body of work. From the scorching deserts in Arizona to the high country mountains in Montana, this body of work covers a vast territory filled with incredible moments I am fortunate enough to have experienced.
Each artwork was entirely shot on medium format film and has been drum scanned for large installations.
To me a cowboy isn’t about the boots or the hat you’re wearing. It’s a lifestyle and a mindset that requires a lot of discipline and determination. It’s about holding yourself to a certain standard mentally and physically. It’s about patience and humility. Always putting the well being of livestock and the land before yourself to maintain a healthy balance for our ecosystem and future generation.
