TITLE: Under the veil
Passing through the railway station in Liege /Belgium/ which was designed by famous architect Santiago Calatrava, I am aware of his genius because he connected two completely different worlds. On the one hand the world of materials such as steel and vaulted glass folded into an incredible dimension, on the other hand resembling something alive and pulsating above you. It covers us with its veil and shows that where there is shadow there is also light. I tried to capture this space in its diversity hoping it will touch you.
AUTHOR: Natalia Slovinska (Netherlands)
My name is Natalia Slovinska. I was born in Slovakia and currently I am living in the Netherlands.
I am an amateur photographer specialized in architecture and nature photography. I rely more on my intuition than on technical knowledge, that leads me to trying all possibilities. I find uniqueness in every thing, place and situation, capture it in simplicity and perfection without major adjustments and interventions.
Black and white photography shows me that less can be more and I like to find balance in that.
My biggest achievements so far were in 2021 two honorable mentions in Monochrome Photography Awards in category Architecture, and in 2022 in category Architecture: two honorable mentions in Monovisions Photography Awards, having two photos in the final round of IPA Official Selection, two honorable mentions in Neutral Density Photography Awards, three honorable mentions in Budapest International Foto Awards and two honorable mentions in Monochrome Photography Awards.
