TITLE: Anatomy of softness
In April 2022 I sat a very long time exploring the essence of a wonderful white tulip. Tulips are beautiful flowers from a distance already. But the closer I got the more I got amazed by the gentle flow of the petals. The soft and graceful shapes revealed very interesting abstract compositions.
I used a Lensbaby Velvet 56mm macro lens with a Raynox 250 adapter lens attached to create the very soft but still detailed look. I am thankful that this unusual setup enabled me to share how those petals feel to me.
AUTHOR: Anja Vogel (Germany)
I am a German black and white photographer focusing on macro, flora and still life.
Photography is meditation to me. Getting lost in the moment. When I choose a subject, I enjoy to take a lot of time to explore its beauty. My aim is to capture the essence of the feeling I have while looking at all the wonderful details nature reveals. I like to get close and cherish what is not readily visible for the naked eye. When it comes to still lifes, I like to transport a feeling using minimalistic concepts.

All my love!
