TITLE: Ethiopian Highlands

In a little village several hours north of Addis Ababa I came across a group of men who agreed to let me photograph them, and was struck by their quiet reserve and their dignity, evident in this image.

A photography enthusiast with extensive experience in analog photography and darkroom technologies, now working mostly in digital. Photography was a perfect complement to my other great passion, travel, and so much of my work has been travel-themed. Due to other commitments I find myself photographing subjects closer to home and am now working mostly with street photography, which to my mind is much like travel photography minus the expense of getting to distant locations.
Although I work also in colour, I have a particular affection for monochrome as I am attracted to the simplicity and directness of the medium.
