TITLE: Addiction
Alcoholism and loneliness are two diseases that today determine the life of the man in this portrait.
I interviewed him briefly to get a complete picture of his life. The story turned out to be short and colorless. He used to have everything; good work in the state service, a lot of material benefits, social promotion, jealousy of colleagues. However, selfishness and pride led him to where he is now. Today, his space is filled with social isolation, alcohol addiction and a lot of bitter memories. The thoughts that haunt him keep him from sleeping, but you won't experience any remorse in them. There is regret, but only for the fact that he once felt like the king of life, and today there is nothing in his space that would tickle his ego. The departure of his first wife, then the second one, the loss of his children and the death of his mother did not move him enough. It turned out to be immune to harm to other people. The devastating thing is that years later he did not draw conclusions. Only the deepening addiction to alcohol proves that he cannot cope with remorse and the harm he has inflicted on his relatives. He summed up our interview with a wise quote from the book "All the actions and decisions we make each day echo loudly in our future."
