TITLE: no space and no time
A painted woman once lying low, is now about to get up. Despite the dynamism of her stance, this shoot gives the spectator a sense of pure calmness.
Looking at her turned head, you will probably ask yourself if she will turn around, letting you see her features and the expression on her face. What is she thinking about?
Now, your thoughts and hers are merged together. And the fact that you can’t see her face reveals that she could be everyone. Everyone can personificate himself into this turned person and into her mysterious and illegible thoughts as well.
Her hand leans closer than the head and this, added to the illusion created by the perspective, make it seems ever bigger.
This could bother the person watching the photo, yet his attention will still be captured by that turned head.
There is no space and time, both are frozen in this instant: a painted girl on a completely black background, her thoughts and, finally, you, wondering if she will never let you discover hidden mystery behind her turned head.
AUTHOR: Ludovica Morchio (Italy)
I'm a photographer from Bologna, Italy.
In my images I look for dynamic and new imaginaries, simple and essential but also extravagant. I like to create a new world by photographing the existing one.
Dreamlike. It is the adjective that best describes my photographs, real but surreal. An actual moment, but transformed by my eye into something linear and unreal.
