TITLE: Before and After
Before and After is a photo series shot in the isolation and reflection of COVID-19. Being isolated during the height of the pandemic felt like a dream, it was both familiar and strange at the same time. I set out to find some sort of normalcy only to realize the world as I knew it had changed. The streets were completely abandoned, a surreal version of our new reality.
The series captured the abandoned streets of Toronto during the pandemic. It features 40 images and is shot on 35mm black and white film.
The name Before and After comes from the idea that time itself has been marked. We now say, before coronavirus and after coronavirus. The images captured this shift in time.
