TITLE: The starlings’dance
Every November, at the sunset, the sky of Rome becomes the stage where the colonies of starlings temporarly settled over the trees of the Capital performe their flight show.
Large flocks of birds dancing as one, turn the Eternal City sky into a pictorial background where daily life scenes are depicted from a totally different perspective thus gaining a new charme.
AUTHOR: yuri rossi (Italy)
My name is Yuri Rossi and I was born in Genova in 1975. Since I was a child I have been fascinated by visual arts and thanks to my father I came close to painting and fotography. At the age of 10 I printed my earliest photographies in the camera obscura equiped in the storage closet of my parents’ house. After graduation at the arts high school, I went to Milan to attend the Civic school of Cinema, where I have realised my early works as director. In 2000 I moved to Rome where I started my career in the field of Cinema, working first as assistant director and, in 2007, as director. In the last few years I have directed several tv series. Between a cinematographic project and another I have always cultivated my very first passion: photography.
