TITLE: The New Norm
I decided to cover local workers in Madrid, what with the COVID-19 pandemic wreaking havoc the world over, many people have had no option but to just get on with their lives.
The wearing of masks have, I think, let them feel more at ease whilst having their picture taken. It seems they feel that they can hide behind something, perhaps making it easier to an extent to do the shoot on location.
So what more is there to say on this new 'norm' that we are all rather used to - whether we like it or not. It is here to stay, and so is my project, which is in no way, shape or form finished.
Rather, I feel that sadly, it is just beginning.

Having been a street photographer for many years, it was only around a year ago that I found the courage to start taking portraits.
