TITLE: Blue Candy
Why children’s eyes are blue, even they can see sweet candy?
I think social distancing and the quarantine not only increase the physical distances but also the psychological distances among people in all ages, which was the reason I chose this collection.
This series of photos were shot in some original Hmong villages, where were not over-commercialization and still existed Hmong culture. Like the Utopia, people living there were pristine, kind and friendly. I shared candies to some children, but I saw something different in their eyes.
The first photo talks about the moment the little boy eats the candy, and his mother finds him by carrying his sister on her back at the same time. The next photo shows the moment when the little girl sees the candy. In the same way until the end. The last photo shows the little boy is carried to home after eating the candy.
