TITLE: The Red in black and white

Lake of Chiusi Tuscany spring-summer 2020. Every year the Red Heron comes to nest from the African continent in the Lake of Chiusi in Tuscany. To document this work I made many stalking both from fixed and mobile shed, this allowed me to get close to the subjects without disturbing them, and to be able to merge with the surrounding environment to be an integral part and become "one of them", is a particular work that pays a lot of time. The photo sessions took place at sunrise and sunset, in order to enjoy optimal light, also because in these hours they are more active in eating and offering special moments, sometimes even during the day when the light was pleasant. It was a wonderful experience, I hope to be able to convey to those who observe these images of mine, in part the emotions I felt.

My name is Antonio Aguti, I have been living for 54 years in a beautiful Tuscan village. My places offer special moments to photograph wildlife; the best seasons for photography are spring and summer; autumn is also very beautiful for ungulates. In these places I dedicate a lot of my free time to be able to document the behavior of the subjects that populate them. This year, between the months of May and August, I dedicated myself to the Herons : a hunt made by inserting myself into the natural environment, putting myself in the shoes of the birds, that have abundantly repaid me with particularly vibrant moments of life for the my heart .
