TITLE: Melting ice
This series from the Arctic, taken on Svalbard, shows the huge melting glaciers on the archipelago. When the glaciers retreat, they are covered with gravel that has been pushed forward for thousands of years.

Aleksander Myklebust (b. 1993) is a Norwegian photojournalist and author. His pictures have been awarded in numerous international photo contests, including BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Memorial Maria Luisa, International Contest of Photography Narava, Monochrome Awards and Nordic Nature Photo Contest. After publishing his first book at the age of 20, Myklebust has written two and co-authored five more books. In 2015 Myklebust was included as the youngest member of the association Norwegian Nature Photographers (NN) – an association for professional nature photographers.
