TITLE: post mortem

Michael Koch`s series "post mortem" is related to the uncanny. Analysing images coming from recurring nightmares and phobia, he shows the dualism of comfort and pain, life and death and past and present. Some of the pictures were taken in a small village in his hometown and other motives were arranged in his studio.

Michael Koch was born 1973 in Braunschweig, he lives and works in Düsseldorf, Germany.
He studied communication design, art and photography and history of photography in Essen,
at Folkwang University, from 1998 to 2004 (Diploma). His photographic work is exhibited internationally.
