TITLE: Zoom-on Wild
The awareness of high life-value in all its forms is inseparable from my enthusiasm for photography and elaboration. It's a passionate symbiosis. I not only want to show the beauty from a familiar distance, like when walking along the zoo's fence but to bring the viewer as close as possible to the often unnoticed peculiarities and uniqueness of the animals. AUTHOR: Christina Maria Stowasser (Austria)
Christina Maria Stowasser alias Chrismasto has been creating pictures from a young age. Inspired by the pictorial world while growing up with her grandparents' cinema business in Lower Austria, she develops an appreciative bond with nature due to spending several months in the French Alps, where her aunt runs a mountain hut.
She finally discovers the camera as a means of expression only after a long professional detour.
Her path to photography began in 2003 during a 20 months solo trip through 11 countries. "Strictly speaking, it was my fascination for the greatness, the beauty of nature, and a strong need to preserve these unique moments for a little eternity that made me a photographer." What began with nature and travel photography later developed into professional photography in art, portrait, advertising, and press.
Despite, the reports and fine art remain her specialty, often merging one with the other. The importance in her work is far more what and what-for, but the technical side. Therefore, during her many trips, mountain tours, and other activities, she prefers to devote herself to topics that are close to her heart.
