TITLE: Psyche

I have been working on " Psyche " for 3 years, with the addition of my drawings to the overlapping of real photographs. I think I have started a new vision of manipulated photography I had never explored before. I started this project by chance, giving voice to the emotions I was experiencing in that moment, using techniques I had not previously contemplated. When I created these works I had a clear idea about what I wanted to communicate, but I did not consider they could convey other visions and points of view. Everybody can have a different reaction according to their own past experiences and I like the idea that a work can be open to every kind of interpretation.

My name is Sara Argiolas, I'm 31 years old and I live in Cagliari (Sardinia - Italy).
Fascinated with photography since childhood, after a little creative pause I have come back again to the world of art with a stronger inspiration.
Born as a landscape photographer, I have been recently fascinated by street photography (for its spirit of global observation and for a documentary interest in the world around me) and by conceptual photography (as a kind of personal challenge changed into a real passion, thanks to its capacity of analysis of intimate thoughts and self-criticism).
