TITLE: Imaginarium
This series of photographs belongs to a large project that I am still working on, which I have called " Imaginarium ", they are photographs taken from the escalators of shopping centers. My purpose with this idea of taking pictures is to create science fiction images, from an extreme perspective and giving great importance to framing and composition. I mix elements such as lights with geometric shapes and singular motifs, using materials and interior design of shopping malls as a source of inspiration to create futuristic and unreal effects.
AUTHOR: Carlos Ramiro (Thailand)
I was born in Spain.
From the end of the 80s to the mid-90s I was a freelance photographer, the first years self-taught, later I studied for two years at the Center for Photographic Studies in Palma de Mallorca. They were years of intense travel through much of Europe, the Maghreb and part of the Middle East, Central America and Southeast Asia, always accompanied by my analog reflex camera. I was awarded in some local photography contests, published some reports in national travel and adventure magazines, and one day...I finished with the world of photography. In 2020, 25 years later, I return, now residing in Thailand, and my mirrorless camera accompanies me everywhere. There are several project that I have underway, for the moment I have been awarded with two honorable mentions in IPA, International Photography Awards 2020, categories Nature Macro and Nature Others, and finalist in The Motif Collective International Photography Contest 2020 in the category of architecture.
