TITLE: Abandoned one-room schoolhouse_church
Returning from a sorrowful trip to say goodbye to a family member, the roads took us down some open plains in the Northern part of the USA. As we drove we came across this dilapidated structure. It was a cloudy, moody day along with a long moody trip and I had to stop and document this abandoned, what appeared to be either a one-room schoolhouse or church or both? These images turned out to be relative to the mood of the past few weeks we were in at the time. Moody, deep, and sorrowful.
AUTHOR: Pamela Hymer (United States)
I am a San Antonio-based photographer shooting nature, wildlife, landscapes , and an occasional portrait. I have been shooting since 1983 eventually converting to digital. Managing to keep Photography as a hobby, I spent 26 years following my husband from army post to army post. My dream of a photography career took a backseat to a steady income along with the task to take care of not only our family but his soldiers and their families.
About ten years ago, I decided to slowly refocus, revive, and pursue my photography ambition. Submitting my art for local, national, and international publication and hope to eventually submit for a gallery exhibit. Landing in Texas after moving and traveling throughout the United States and Europe was a challenge but that is what pushes one into being your best self.
