TITLE: "Above the clouds - a feeling of freedom and peace"
Freedom, peace and a feeling as if you have reached your goal. When you have reached the top for hours of effort, you feel free and overwhelmed. Impressed by the view, the sight and the stimulus satiation. The play of the clouds in combination with the variable incidence of light makes the pictures seem mystical.
The feeling of having arrived, of being able to give oneself freely to nature and simply enjoy the wonderful view was what fascinated me. The hike in New Zealand on the Roys Peak was absolutely stunning. It was a very special natural phenomenon, a combination of different natural beauties. Every shift of the clouds, every breath of wind, every change of the angle of view and the composition of the picture, created a special image. The emotions we felt up there, I wanted to capture in my pictures. Sometimes it is worth making an effort and taking the difficult path to achieve a feeling of freedom and peace in the end. You learn to develop your ambition and stamina and can find yourself on the long way to your goal. This goal, these feelings and the overwhelming nature that expresses this, I would like to illustrate in my photo. Sometimes you do not need colour to express this.
AUTHOR: Sandra Zeck (Germany)
My name is Sandra Zeck, I am a communication designer and enjoy taking photographs outside my professional activities in the marketing and design sector. Special detail photography and landscapes are among my favourites. I completed my studies in Trier in communication design, where I learned a lot about photography. I have always been a passionate photographer. I am not a professional photographer with awards, but I have been involved with photography in my free time as well as during my studies, with very special experiences. Besides my two-week photography course in France, I had a very special experience. I had a unique experience in my life and in photography in New Zealand, during my semester abroad. For years, photography was more than just a course at university for me, it was my way of expressing emotions alongside my job in design and marketing.
