TITLE: Salt miner
I met some Afar salt miners working in an extremely harsh and inhospitable place, the Danakil depression, Ethiopia, one of the hottest places on Earth. The salt blocks are sold across the country, many of them to farmers to provide their animals with essential minerals. These men work at temperatures around 45-50 Celsius under an unforgiving sun but they still keep cheerful. He told me his dream is to become a famous boxer one day.
