TITLE: Mwatate kids
While shooting a documentary in south Kenya about gemstone miners, I was passing by this school every three days. One day, I just decided to talk to the headteacher, in order to know if I could take a few shots in the school. Absolutely, and she let me 100% free to do what I wanted there. In all the photos I took that day, this one represent so much diversity, in just five little ones. Who are the girls, who are the boys (everyone is shaved, to avoid louses)? Dreamers, curious, cheeky, lonely, hard-workers... So many things in these beautiful looks.

After 8 years of a successful career in engineering, I decided in 2012 to go to a more exciting, human and creative job, as a documentary photographer. A choice that I thank everyday, leading me to discover and understand the world, meeting amazing people, and renewing my vision of the life. One vision among thousands of others, which modestly contribute to the high diversity we can find in photography, each of us telling stories in a different way.
