TITLE: Cameleer with GPS 2020
John the Cameleer is undertaking a gruelling 12 month solo trek across Australia with four camels and a rescue dog. His journey challenges the notion that material wealth improves happiness. The Cameleer, once a millionaire playboy entrepreneur has given up his worldly possessions and career to find another path to fullfilling his life.

AUSTRALIA
I live in a small rural town in NSW Australia where my photographic work is divided between commissions, personal projects and being an educator. I am currently undertaking several bodies of work relating to a sense of place, connections with land, as well as the notion of self image and modern representations of beauty.
I am also a Churchill Fellow, I continue to investigate the impact that photography can have on the educational outcomes and community involvement of youth at risk in both urban and regional areas.
I have been drawn to black and white photography from the first moment I have held a camera. The imagery is stripped back to reveal the layers of emotion and reveals so much more in an intimate way.
