TITLE: Strange lake
I took this photo in january, a winter day.
I woke up early, did that walk around the lake in my city called Créteil in France.
It’s an artificial urban lake, an air lung in the city, where I took this tree.
Everybody sleep, no noise, strange atmosphere.
AUTHOR: Fabrice JULAN (France)
Dear members of Jury and Staff,
A little about me. I was born and live in France, in a city in south of Paris called Créteil. I also lived in french west indies island called Guadeloupe.
My photographs are componed by two great lines, black and white photographies and colours photographies. I try to show how beautiful things around us are, from little things to great structures.
By that way, I want to extract the best moment in photographing them. To catch that unique natural moment between peace and pure beauty.
Photography is for me a breath in my life, a sphere where I can fully express liberty and at the same time enjoy a simple moment.
I'm an autodidact, photography isn't my job. I started in 2016 and I launched me in that world. A need to be outside, to express feelings inside through my eyes. I felt that energy.
Travels help me too, to open-minded my views and opinions and to connect things I learned.
Understand people and things around.
When I'm not shooting, i'm usually cooking and discover international meals and enjoy sport.
I'm 37 years old and i speak french, english, spanish, creole and I'm learning russian.
I try to reflect in my photos this purely moment in a second.
