TITLE: Eyes of Argus
There are thousands of pictures of peacocks in full color, and yes their color is beautiful. I took this picture in monochrome, and was astounded by a different element of their beauty. Not the color; but the texture and the pattern within their feathers, which now stood out to me. Since the eyes (feathers) stood out to me, I named this photo after a story in greek mythology about Argus. A giant with many eyes, who upon his death, his eyes were immortalized in a peacock's tail.
