I took this picture during my travel to California in November 2019. I came to Martin's Beach expecting to see a clear sky with a colorful sunset and take an ethereal minimalistic long exposure picture. Instead, it was foggy and windy. So, I decided to take a long exposure picture to capture the waves hitting the rocks. I created this black and white picture to capture the sadness from the news that I received from friends and relatives in late Oct and early Nov, during which, their fathers passed away.

I love photography that shows a different point of view from what we see in daily lives. I am always impressed by how beautiful black and white pictures can emphasize a certain aspect of the composition, lighting, and feeling. I also love macro photography for its vibrant color and beautiful details of tiny objects that we normally cannot see with our eyes.
