This photograph is an interpretation of the goddess Babalon.
Babalon, also known as the Mother of Abominations, is a goddess found in the occult system of Thelma. The system of Thelma was established in 1904 by the English author and occultist Aleister Corwley. In her most abstract form Babalon represents the female sexual impulse and the liberated woman.
In this photograph I focused heavily on portraying a seductive woman, without being too revealing, I wanted the subject to feel mysterious. A goddess who can seduce without showing neither her body or face. An abstract representation of Babalon, as she is being presented in her most abstract form, of female sexuality.
