This photo was taken at Maulbronn Monastery (German: Kloster Maulbronn) which is a former Cistercian abbey and UNESCO World Heritage Site located at Maulbronn, Baden-Württemberg. The monastery complex is one of the best-preserved in Europe. The monastery's narthex, called "the Paradise", is the oldest example of Gothic architecture in Germany (wikipedia).

I am an amateur photographer and for a longtime I only took pictures when travelling. In the last years I also started with night-, street- and makrophotography. But may passion is still taking pictures and impressions from other countries. More and more I am a fan of b/w photography but it depends on the subject and the location.
