TITLE: "2020 Space Odyssey"
Photo taken December 2019 at the Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown, Lisbon, Portugal.
Handheld photography with no processing, except B&W conversion.
The objective was to capture in one image the concept of "Space" in all its multiple dimensions: from physical to conceptual; from indoor to outer space; from being here to flying away...

With a background in engineering, I've worked in research and innovation for over two decades. As an amateur photographer, I've travelled extensively and have always been fascinated on how to capture on camera not only the view at hand, but broader concepts. After testing different techniques over the years, I've focused on handheld photography using light gear and minimum off camera processing, while looking for non obvious subject matters (i.e: capturing in one image the multiple dimensions of a word, such as "Space"). To specialise in black & white photography is now my new long term challenge.
