The way this space on the New York City High Line was lit this evening in January combined with the complete absence of people to create a scene both dreamlike and unnatural. The sense of isolation during broad daylight was striking and brought to mind ideas of human connection and alienation. Similar themes are explored in Charlie Kauffman's 2009 film, the title of which I borrowed for this piece.
Shot on Kodak Tri-X 400 35mm film with a Ricoh 500G.
